Tyler Spence, Executive Editor

Tyler Spence is an award-winning reporter and editor from Huntington, West Virginia. Tyler has traveled across West Virginia to tell stories of some of the state’s most misunderstood towns, and closely covered the selection of Marshall’s new university president in the fall of 2021 while serving as managing editor. Tyler won three awards from the West Virginia Press Association for his work at The Parthenon in 2021 and interned at The Herald-Dispatch in the summer of 2022. Tyler has served as the Executive Editor since the beginning of 2022 and has worked to bring The Parthenon into the digital age. Tyler majors in multimedia journalism and public relations with a minor in political science. Tyler’s goal after college is to cover politics or international affairs for a national publication. He is currently involved as a leader at the local Young Life organization.
