Marshall University’s Women Connect and Students Against Sex Slavery (SASS) will host its Not for Sale: Sex Trafficking in the U.S. event.
The purpose of this event is to discuss all elements of domestic sex trafficking.
The audience will learn information about the impact sex trafficking has on people and institutions in the United States.
“We really hope that many people will taken interest and show up for the panel discussion,” said Sarah Reynolds, first year Psy.D., Graduate Assistant. “This year Women Connect’s events have been centered on sex trafficking, both here in the United States and abroad.”
Not for Sale: Sex Trafficking in the U.S. will include a panel discussion where each panelist will speak in regards to their areas of expertise, followed by an audience Q&A.
Panelists will include Maggie Stone, Ph.D., Delegate Barbara Fleischauer, Peggy Brown, JD, and Kristen Kerns, LSW.
The event will be 7 p.m. April 26 in the Memorial Student Center in room BE5. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and light refreshments will be provided.
The event Not for Sale: Sex Trafficking in the U.S. is free and open to the public.
