Marshall University’s WMUL FM is hosting the Ninth annual Hair from the Herd 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Memorial Student Center Plaza.

“We are really looking forward to this event,” said WMUL promotions director Cheyenne DeBolt. “We are excited about Paramount Beauty Academy coming to partner with us to provide free hair styles in exchange for donations of at least eight inches of clean and dry hair.”

Donations of hair are being taken as well as monetary donations for Children with Hair Loss, a nonprofit hair donation organization.

Children with Hair Loss makes wigs for children free of charge.

“We are hoping to have at least 20 donors,” DeBolt said. “In the past we have always had a good turn out.”
