Marshall University sorority Delta Zeta will host a fundraising Kickball Tournament.
Teams must have 5-8 players to participate in the tournament.
The sisters have tables set up in the Student Center for anyone who wants to sign up to be a part of the tournament.
Those interested in signing up may also contact sister Christa Nesbitt or sister Alex Lover.
“This is the first year we are hosting this event,” Nesbitt said. “If all goes well we plan to continue it every year.”
Tickets are $5 per person. The last day to register is March 14.
“I think we will have a good turn out,” Lover said. “Greek life has been doing a lot of tournament events lately, Greek life and the Marshall Community have really been supportive and helpful.”
Proceeds go towards Delta Zeta’s Thunder Dance Marathon Fundraiser.
“Thunder Dance is a fundraiser that we started last year,” said sister and former vice president Meena Elango. “It’s a philanthropic event that helps raise funds for children affected by chronic medical conditions.”
The event takes place March 16 at 5 p.m. on Buskirk Field.
