4th Annual Auction and Dinner to benefit Huntington City Mission
The fourth annual auction and dinner benefitting the Huntington City Mission will occur Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Conference Center.
“We usually reach capacity, which is 250 people,” said Jodi Dowell, the individual in charge of the event. “Last year we raised about $20,000 for the programs of the Huntington City Mission.”
The funds raised by the event go towards programs for sheltering people and feeding people, as well as several other programs involved with the Huntington City Mission, Dowell said.
“The dinner usually consists of a pasta buffet,” Dowell said. “You’ll have your choice of pasta, pasta sauce, salad and garlic bread, which is catered through the St. Mary’s Conference Center.”
Tickets for the event can be bought in advance for $30 or at the door for $35, Dowell said.
The auction will be held after dinner, and the Ron Morrison will be the auctioneer for the event this year, Dowell said.
