Students gather for Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show viewing
Over 100 students gathered to watch the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in the Memorial Student Center Monday night.
The VS PINK Campus Team sponsored the event with the help of Marshall’s Campus Activities Board.
VS PINK Campus Representative Clara Maynard spoke on why the partnership was important to reach the Marshall campus.
“We partnered with the Campus Activities Board because VS PINK Marshall is not a student organization. This way we could reach more people and have it in the student center,” Maynard said. “It will be our campus team’s first time orchestrating an event alone and we are very excited for them and cannot wait to see the turn out.”
There was a surprise freebie for the first 75 women who came to the event, but many more prizes were given out during the commercial breaks of the VS Fashion Show, including underwear, portable chargers, gift cards, beauty care and items from the Marshall PINK Collegiate Collection.
“My favorite part was seeing everyone get the freebies and prizes,” PINK Collegiate Core Specialist Sasha Tackett said.
Tackett and her fellow campus team members provided pizza, drinks, and desserts while hosting the giveaways.
CAB President Tory Lanman said CAB was happy to be a part of the event.
“My favorite part was seeing everyone win their prizes and have something to be excited about during dead week,” Lanman said.
For students who are interested in becoming a part of events like this, Tackett said applications will be available soon for those interested in joining the VS PINK Marshall Campus team for next semester and next year.
