Ritter Park holds St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt

Saturday at noon at Ritter Park The Greater Huntington Parks and Recreation District will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a scavenger hunt.
Recreation programmer Alice Hall said the scavenger hunt will begin at Gobbler’s Knob, next to the amphitheater. The hunt will consist of a series of clues leading people all throughout Ritter Park.
Hall said she left the fliers ambiguous intentionally because she wants people to be surprised when they arrive to begin the hunt.
Hall said there will be St. Patrick’s day themed goodies and activities for guests after they reach the final stop on the scavenger hunt.
“People will be able to build their own shamrocks,” Hall said.
Hall said this is the second scavenger hunt the Greater Huntington Parks and Recreation District has held.
“This is the second time we’ve done it,” Hall said. “But last year it got rained out, so we kind of skipped a year, and we’re bringing it back this year.”
The scavenger hunt is free of charge.
