Athlete of the week: Abigail Tolbert, softball
Marshall pitcher Abigail Tolbert (00) throws a pitch during the Thundering Herd’s game against Charlotte at Dot Hicks Field on April 14, 2018.
Tolbert pitched 16 shutout innings across a three-game sweep of Conference USA foe Middle Tennessee, earning the win in all three games against the Blue Raiders. Tolbert followed that by pitching a complete game against Morehead State, allowing one run against the Eagles.
