Dunkin’ Donuts on Fifth Avenue officially opens
It’s official, Huntington now runs on Dunkin’.
Dunkin’ Donuts officially opened its stand-alone location Dunkin’ Thursday in Huntington. The store is located on Fifth Avenue near Marshall University’s campus and across from the Marshall Recreation Center.
While the store has the traditional feel and products of a typical Dunkin’, this location is one of the next generation concept stores, Sarah Weitzman, director of operations of the store, said in a recent Herald-Dispatch article.
“An exclusive On-the-Go drive-thru lane lets DD Perks members who order ahead via Dunkin’s Mobile App bypass the ordering lane and merge straight into the line for the pickup window,” Weitzman said.
The next generation concept store also features a more modern look inside, accompanied by electronic perks. Mobile ordering through an app and to-go pick up are both featured options at the next generation location.
Individuals visiting the store at any given time may find a familiar Marshall face behind the counter. Another perk offered by the building’s location is the availability for jobs for students near campus.
Individuals who visit Dunkin’ can expect to be greeted by the aroma of coffee, a case filled with donuts of an array of flavors and free Wi-Fi.
This Dunkin’ location is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
