Cleveland State travels to Fitch Natatorium
This weekend, the Cleveland State Vikings will travel to Marshall to take on the Marshall women’s swim and dive team at the Fitch Natatorium.
The meet will begin at 6 p.m. Friday and continue into Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. The meet will include twenty events total, ten on Friday and ten on Saturday.
Friday’s events include the 200-meter medley relay, 1,650-meter individual freestyle, 3-meter diving, 200-meter freestyle, 100-meter backstroke, 100-meter breaststroke, 200-meter fly, 500-meter freestyle, 200-meter individual medley and an 800-meter freestyle relay.
Saturday’s events include the 400-meter medley relay, 1-meter diving, 200-meter freestyle relay, 400-meter individual medley, 100-meter freestyle, 200-meter backstroke, 100-meter fly, 500-meter freestyle, 200-meter breaststroke and a 400-meter freestyle relay.
Each swimmer may swim in up to six events and no more than four individual events.
This is Marshall’s swim and dive team’s fifth meet this season. So far, the Marshall women have posted a win-loss record of 4-3 against all other schools they have faced (Marshall opposed multiple schools in single meets). Marshall also came in first place in the West Virginia State Games last month, defeating WVU for the first time in school history.
