Waylon Smith is a sophomore at Marshall University double-majoring in broadcast journalism and public relations with a minor in anthropology. He is from Ashland, Kentucky, and loves black cats, plants, a long run, his dog and meeting new people. Waylon is a student reporter for The Parthenon and hopes to amplify the voices and share the experiences of Marshall University students through his stories. When he graduates, he plans to work as a nighttime news anchor and one day hopefully have his own show.
