“Gabe’s recital attests to the hard work he puts in every day, practicing, studying and improving his musical and vocal skills,” Castleberry said.
As a member of the Marshall University Chamber Choir, University Chorus, Choral Union and music fraternity, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Gray sa9d he has made music his entire life.
“I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember,” Gray said. “Most of my immediate family will be attending this recital, and I look forward to sharing with them my life’s work.”
The pieces Gray has chosen are a combination of pieces he has prepared in previous semesters and newer pieces from this school year.
“His concert will be a joy to hear,” Castleberry said. “Gabe communicates each song with genuine feeling and warmth.”
The recital begins 4 p.m. in Smith Recital Hall.
