Countdown to Commencement starts Tuesday
The annual fall Countdown to Commencement will take place Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Don Morris Room of the Memorial Student Center.
Refreshments will be available for those attending.
The event was created to assist soon-to-be graduates in collaborating with on-campus resources as they depart from the university.
The event will offer July, August and December graduates the opportunity to purchase caps and gowns, network with Career Services for post-graduate plans, discuss financial aid with the Office of the Bursar and collect information on joining the Alumni Association. Diploma frames, tassles and cords will also be available for purchase on site.
“Countdown to Commencement, much like the winter commencement itself, grows every year,” University Registrar, Sonja Cantrell said in a press release. “‘Countdown’ will save our graduates a lot of running as they take care of pre-commencement responsibilities, during the busiest part of the year.”
The Winter Commencement is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Pullman.
