XOXO, Michael Brown
The readers submitted some questions about life, love and everything in between. I answered them as honest as I knew possible. I’m here to keep it real with you when no one else is and to answer with no judgment because I don’t know you! I’m just a college senior who enjoys giving his opinion. Here are some of the questions I got this week:
What is your opinion about sex on the first date?
I’m not saying to go out on a date with intentions of giving your cookie up, but if the chemistry is there then go for it. Always be prepared for the unexpected. I hope you’re only wearing your granny panties on a first date if you already aren’t interested, like it’s a pity date. I don’t believe anything is wrong with having sex on the first date at all. Get it how you live, baby girl.
Donald or Hillary? Why?
I am a biracial homosexual. I’m with her. I think you have to be flat out stupid not to think Trump isn’t racist. I do want to say I was feeling the Bern during the primaries, but I’m not going to be that person that lets my vote go to waste because I don’t like either candidate. Hillary actually really won me over during the Democratic convention.
How do you feel about athletes not standing during the national anthem?
First of all, it’s their first amendment right to do so under the freedom of speech. I respect them for feeling strongly enough to take such a big stand. I’m sure they knew people wouldn’t be happy with them doing that. It doesn’t make me angry at all like it does others. It started as a stand against social injustices in this country towards black people, as well as just people of color.
What advice would you give to a freshman?
Start off strong. It’s hard to bring your GPA up, but it’s so easy for it to drop. Be sure to start your semester strong. Have fun, but have your priorities in check and always be proactive. These four years will be over before you know it, enjoy it. Remember that you’re here for an education.
