Women’s basketball lost its fourth straight; falls to Old Dominion on the road 63-56 Saturday afternoon.

“ODU doesn’t get beat here a lot,”  Tony Kemper, Marshall women’s basketball head coach, said. “Seven points in the fourth quarter isn’t enough. We got bogged down a bit and let them hit a couple of shots.”

Kemper added that the team needs to stop putting themselves in holes.

“We didn’t start very well, and that’s something we have to figure out,” he said. “We can’t continue to dig insurmountable holes.”

ODU started the game on a 10-0 run that set the Herd back.

Marshall had two players in double figures.

Junior Abby Beeman led the Herd with 15 points and ten rebounds, and Junior Roshala Scott had 14 points and six rebounds.

Next, Marshall will host Troy Thursday at 6 p.m.
