Luke Bryan: The VIP experience

Having the opportunity to help kick off the Luke Bryan: Kill the Lights tour in Huntington this past Thursday was tons of fun.

Working as an ambassador for an event production company called CID Entertainment, my job was to help prepare the V.I.P area, check-in those who purchased V.I.P experience tickets and help put together and pass out merchandise bags.

CID Entertainment is a company that is responsible for the logistical operations of all your favorite concerts, shows and festivals. They are what make the shows possible for the artists, as well as the fans. They frequently working with big name artists, such as The Lumineers, Metallica and John Legend (just to name some of their upcoming tours), as well as music festivals all across the nation, the most notable of them being Coachella every year.

What I love about this company is that they allow for students to sign up to work these events and not only make a little extra money, but to introduce them to an integral part of the entertainment industry.

There were some perks to working the show other than getting paid. We were allowed to watch Luke Bryan perform two songs for the V.I.P guests, up-close and personal. So, as a fan of Luke Bryan, I was thrilled to get to see him sing my personal favorite of his “Huntin’, Fishin’, And Lovin Everyday.” We also got free access to the full concert after our shift ended.

So to me, it was a pretty sweet deal.
