The third annual Masquerade Ball seeks to raise funds for Stop Abusive Family Environments at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Don Morris Room.
SAFE is a domestic violence service that provides help for people dealing with domestic abuse in Welch, West Virginia.
The event will feature a Charleston DJ, an open wine bar for attendees 21 and over and a silent auction.
Ellen Castro, a volunteer for the Marshall Women’s Studies Department, said the auction includes things donated from local stores, as well as Marshall faculty and students.
“It’s just a really fun time where we dress up and are at the same time doing it for a good cause,” Castro said.
Some of the anticipated participants are President Jerome Gilbert and Marco.
The event is organized by the Marshall Women’s Studies Department. Tickets are for sale for students at $10 and, for faculty and staff, tickets are one for $20 or two for $35.
