Surprise Concert performed at Memorial Student Center

Marshall University Junior, Isaac Fadiga, performed a surprise concert at the Memorial Student Center yesterday evening.

After looking for somewhere to perform his music for almost a year, Fadiga, also known as Shelem, took matters into his own hands.

Fadiga spent the entire week spreading the word about his surprise concert before setting up his own show on the Student Center Plaza.

Fadiga said he didn’t foresee a huge turnout, but was just excited to perform.

“I came ready to party,” Fadiga said.

Fadiga performed a mix of old and new music during his set last night. Fadiga said he’s excited for the direction his music is going in.

“I plan on going nowhere but up from here,” Fadiga said.

Freshman, Josh Arnold, played basketball with Fadiga from time to time but had no idea that he made music before yesterday.

Arnold said he enjoyed the concert and felt that it was a smart way for Fadiga to put his music out there.

“I plan on going nowhere but up from here.”

“It was really good. His songs are chill,” Arnold said.

Friends of Fadiga were also in attendance. Junior and friend of Fadiga’s since last year, Terrence Knowles, came out to show support.

“I think he should have done it when it was warmer out, but his tracks are super dope,” Knowles said.

Fadiga plans on doing more sets on campus since he feels that his first performance went so well.
